The Royal Commission of AlUla Governorate has launched the Arts Valley project, to transform the region of AlUla into a pioneering international destination for arts, heritage, culture and nature to meet the targets of the Kingdom’s vision 2030.
The Arts Valley’s area is estimated at 65 sq km and is expected to be completed by 2024, according to senior officials familiar with the matter.
The project is in line with His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Royal Commission of Al-Ula Governorate, whose aim is to develop the governorate and transform it to become a destination for international heritage.
Noorah Al-Double, the CEO of the General Directorate for Arts and Innovative Industries, affiliated with the Royal Commission of Al-Ula Governorate, gave a thorough account of the whole project, highlighting its future and promising significance for the kingdom’s vision, tourism and culture, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), reported.

The plan involves a broad range of initiatives across archaeology, tourism, culture, and education and the arts and reflects Vision 2030’s goals in economic diversification, local community empowerment and heritage preservation.
