Saudi-based Alkhorayef Water and Power Technologies (AWPT) has announced that it has signed a SR38.04 million ($10.13 million) contract for the operation and maintenance of sewage treatment plants for King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences – Ministry of National Guard in the Central and Western regions of the kingdom.
The contract duration is five years and the financial impact started in the Q3 of 2022, said the Saudi group in its filing to Tadawul.
Alkhorayef Water and Power Technologies Company is one of the leading companies in Saudi Arabian market with an excellent track record in water and wastewater field including engineering, procurement and construction (EPC), construction and operation and maintenance (O&M) services.
AWPT designs, constructs, operates, maintains and manages all types of water and wastewater projects such as domestic and industrial wastewater plants, water treatment plants, water desalination plants, water and wastewater networks and house connections, main water and sewage lines, strategic tanks, pump/lifting stations, electro-mechanical works, storm water and water well projects.
Earlier this year, Alkhorayef was awarded construction contracts worth SR1.86 billion by the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture for four water quality improvement projects in the Eastern Region.
The scope of work included engineering, procurement and construction of strategic transmission lines and distribution networks in addition to pumping stations and strategic reservoirs, stated Alkhorayef in its filing to the Saudi bourse.
These projects are located in Dammam, Ak Khobar, and Qatif cities with construction duration ranging between 24 to 30 months, it stated. The financial impact will start in Q4 of 2022, it added
