NEOM Food signed an agreement with Arabian Agricultural Services Company (ARASCO) and the international agribusiness firm Cargill to explore potentials for collaborations in supporting the sustainable expansion of the Saudi aquaculture sector.
Together with the two entities, NEOM will work to explore and scale up sustainable ways to meet the rising domestic demand for aquaculture. This includes conducting research and development addressing more sustainable feed sources.
This initiative is consistent with the plans and programs for the development and diversification of the Saudi economy under the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, which includes achieving self-sufficiency in industries including food, and developing export markets where possible.
