RedSea, PIF to build greenhouses in Saudi Arabia

The two entities will build greenhouses that also attract visitors and tourists

Riyadh

RedSea has signed an MoU with the Saudi Downtown Company (SDC), a wholly owned subsidiary of the kingdom’s Public Investment Fund (PIF).

RedSea is a Saudi AgTech business that enables commercial farming in hot environments globally.

The new partnership allows the two entities to discuss the designing, building, and operation of RedSea greenhouses at SDC locations across the kingdom.

The greenhouses are expected to be more than just sustainable, advanced technologies. The facilities will themselves become destinations for visitors through their creative experience and culinary-driven offerings.

“We are excited to announce our collaboration with SDC. The facilities themselves are designed as experience centres for community visitors whilst also providing agriculture education as well as economic advantages,” said Ryan Lefers, the CEO and co-founder of RedSea.
