Riyadh Metro: Saudi Arabia’s $22.5 billion project “will be opened soon”

The Riyadh metro is expected to be completed before the end of 2023, or in the beginning of 2024 at the latest, Riyadh’s mayor said.

The capita’s mayor Prince Faisal Bin Abdulaziz Bin Ayyaf made the remarks during a televised interview with Rotana Khalijia, saying that the metro will consist of 6 lines and total of 84 stations. This new mode of transportation will play a big role in alleviating Riyadh’s traffic problem.

Additionally, there will be modern transport network and development of more than a centre in Riyadh to guarantee the distribution of population densities and traffic trips through these centres.
