Saudi Arabia, Alstom sign MoU to explore the future of sustainable transportation

The MoU will identify investment opportunities in the public transport sector related to railway infrastructure, sustainable transport technologies and reducing carbon emissions

Alstom Company, which specialises in sustainable and smart transportation sector, has signed a memorandum of understanding with Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Investment to establish its regional headquarters in the kingdom. 

The MoU aims to explore the future of sustainable transport in Saudi Arabia and identify investment opportunities in the public transport sector related to railway infrastructure, sustainable transport technologies and reducing carbon emissions, in line with the objectives of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, said a Saudi Press Agency report.  

The MoU was signed in the presence of Ministry Undersecretary Fahad Al-Naeem.
