Donald Trump’s company Trump Organisation has licenced its name to Saudi-based developer Dar Al Arkan for a golf resort in Oman, according to the news agency Associated Press.
It reported that the Trump Organisation said the licensing deal – the first since formed United States President left office – will include a gold course, hotel and residential units.
The New York Times was the first to report on the news, stating further details, including the project name Aida, as it will be known as well as information that Dar Al Arkan agreed to licence the Trump name for a $1.6 billion.
Reportedly located on the outskirts of Muscat, the new resort will include 3500 new homes and two hotels comprising 450 rooms as well as a golf course.
Dar Al Arkan, which is a Riyadh-based developer, announced the project in Oman in March 2022.
