As Saudi entertainment projects continue to take centre stage in the kingdom in line with the ambitious Vision 2030 goals, another cineplex has opened in Taif.
This time Havelock One, a leading fit-out, and manufacturing group in the region has completed the interior and fit-out works for Grand Cinemas’ second branch in the kingdom at Park Mall in Taif city.
The newest branch has a seating capacity ranging from 40-299, with a total seat count of 1,243 spread across a 315m2 area.Â
Commenting on the project, Syed Kashif Akhter, group managing director of Havelock One said: “Havelock One is pleased to showcase once again our ability to deliver superior interior solutions in the entertainment sector.
“Our capacity and multi-skilled workforce ensure we are able to rise to any challenge and can meet and exceed the expectations of our client in both quality and timescale.”
Supporting Saudi entertainment projects
Havelock One completed the full fit-out of the space including 11 screens, the main entrance façade, and two grand lobbies. According to the company, all joinery, metal, and glasswork, including furniture and windows were manufactured in its Askar, Bahrain factory and shipped to the site for installation.
The company sourced materials for the wall and floor carpets from German Interiors. Meanwhile, the materials for the acoustic panels were procured from Qingdao Fuyi Acoustics in China.
According to the firm, the “successful coordination with all project parties” ensured the project was delivered on time.
The cinema sector in KSA has been rapidly growing since the kingdom lifted its 35-year-long movie screening ban four years ago. This has further boosted the Saudi economy with contributions increasing from the leisure and tourism industry as well as Saudi entertainment projects.
