Saudi German Health (SGH) has awarded contracts worth $59.5mn (SAR 223.3mn) for the construction of an outpatient tower, which includes 14 clinics and an inpatient extention, which includes a 207-bed expansion in the Saudi German Hospital Jeddah.
The contract was awarded to International Hospital Construction Company, which will complete the project within 36 months, from the date of award.
According to an announcement on Saudi Stock Exchange, the project is expected to be financed partly through bank loans and partly through internal generation by the company.
SGH plans expansion in Egypt, Morocco, and Pakistan
Earlier this week, SGH announced the launch of its new clinic facility in Abha as part of its expansion agenda to enable patients to have more access to high-quality medical care. this was the group’s ninth facility in Saudi Arabia and the 17th in the region, the company noted.
It further added the hospital group will continue with its regional expansion in the UAE and Saudi Arabia as well as international expansion in Egypt, Morocco, and Pakistan.
In a statement, Makarem Sobhi Batterjee, president and vice chairman of Saudi German Health, stated that the goal of the new facility in Abha is to offer high-end healthcare services to patients, under the brand’s ethos of ‘Caring Like Family’.
Batterjee said: “We are proud to open these new clinics in line with our constant efforts to offer integrated healthcare to patients in KSA and the region. Through this project and other initiatives, we are continuing our commitment to provide more access to high-quality healthcare services to more communities in the region.”
SGH plans to have more than 35 operational facilities in the next few years, the company noted.
