Established in 1991, Al Bawani consists of a group of diversified Saudi companies and has grown from a civil works firm into a full-fledged turnkey general contracting company.

For the second time in a row, Al Bawani has secured the highly coveted number one position on Construction Week Middle East’s Top 30 KSA Construction Firms list. The contracting giant has been recognised for its resilience, and steady growth and diversification.

Led by Fakher Alshawaf, the chief executive officer of Al Bawani, the contracting heavyweight has a significant presence in a broad range of industries, resulting in its construction division being ranked as one of the five largest construction companies in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The group works with clients across the kingdom, which vary from government, semi-government to private enterprises and includes supporting the various Vision 2030 initiatives.

Al Bawani has a workforce of over 12,000 skilled and professional employees and a healthy supply chain.

For 2021, Al Bawani has completed major projects in the different spheres of mega mixed-use developments and mega infrastructure projects related to the Vision 2030.
The company has also recently completed data centre projects, railway infrastructure, royal palaces, airports, and an innovation centre.

The company firmly stated that 2021 was a very successful year, having completed projects worth over $800mn (SAR3bn). Additionally, Al Bawani’s revenue is expected to be nearly $1bn (SAR3.8bn) in 2022.

Al Bawani’s contract scope generally covers engineering, construction, test and commissioning. According to the contractor for PPP style projects, the scope of contract can also include operations and manintenance (O&M) and project financing.
