Established in Jeddah in 2006, Shahm Contracting Company is positioned to meet the increasing need for housing and infrastructure development in the kingdom and across the region.

Shahm Contracting is featured on Construction Week Middle East’s Top 30 KSA Construction Firms’ list for its commitment to delivering projects on or ahead of schedule, utilising the latest technologies in construction.

Led by the chairman of Shahm Contracting Eng Muammar Alatawi, the company is working on three major residential projects with an estimated total value of over $800mn (SAR3bn). All three projects are scheduled to be completed in 2022 and are approximately at an average completion rate of 90%.

Over the past year, Shahm has signed contracts to construct high-rise residential tower projects in Riyadh and Makkah for a total value exceeding $266.6mn (SAR1bn).

In addition to that, the company has also successfully constructed more than 1,500 residential units in different cities in KSA, which included infrastructure and superstructure work.

Shahm Contracting has also delivered many luxury residential buildings, palaces, and offices.

According to the company, since its establishment, it has never failed to complete a project within the kingdom and has worked on many prestigious projects. This includes mega projects for the Ministry of Municipal, Rural Affairs and Housing such as Shams Al-Dyar in Riyadh, Bouvardia City in Jeddah, and Luluat Al-Dyar in Yanbu, as well as universities, medical institutions, and luxury palaces.

To date, the firm has delivered more than 20 commercial real estate projects, and over thousands of housing units.

Shahm Contracting’s revenue in 2021 was over $213mn (SAR800mn), and the expected revenue for 2022 is estimated to exceed $270mn (SAR1bn).

The company has no backlog coming out of 2021, which adds to its record of zero backlogs in all its previous projects.
